Indian Idol 3: The Piano Round on SET Asia

Sony Entertainment Television has set out on a journey to search for that one voice which will truly live up to the proposition of Indian Idol: “Bharat Ki Shaan” in the third season of Indian Idol.

The Piano Round of
Indian Idol 3 will be telecast live from June 1, 2007 to June 9, 2007 on Sony Entertainment Television Asia at 9:00pm. The viewers have to vote for their favourite contestant, the voting lines will open from 9.00 pm on June 1, 2007 and close at 8:00 am on June 2, 2007 and so on for each episode.

In the Piano Round of “Indian Idol 3” telecast on Sony Entertainment Television Asia top ten contestants will be selected from the 28 people chosen by the judges. For the
Piano Round 14 girls and 14 boys will perform on alternate days and the contestant with the lowest vote have to leave the show.

There are some really talented and confident contestants from across India and even overseas participating in
Indian Idol 3. The judges have done their part of the job and will continue to voice their opinions, but the ultimate decision on who the Indian Idol is will be based on the precious votes cast by the viewers.

Second level of Theatre Round of Indian Idol 3 on SET Asia


For Indian Idol 3, about 25,000 participants were auditioned from all over the world, and 123 of them were selected for the Theatre Round. From its first round 66 contestants were short listed instead of 60, because this year there is a rise in the number of talented people participating in Indian Idol 3.

The episode on May 25, 2007 showcases some marvelous singing, fresh talents, bonding and friendship between the contestants, which is the speciality of Indian Idol. The competition will get tougher in the next round of the
Theatre Round as the contestants have to perform live with talented musicians for the first time. Syncronisation between the contestants divided into groups of two and three will be the key to success in this week’s episode.

There is a lot of anxiety, fear and suspence in the atmosphere as the contestants prepare for their
duet round.

The episode had some
interesting moments which include the conflict between Richa and Prashant. It seems that they both have a tough time ahead as Richa is not willing to practice with Prashant. Uma and Maya were late for Round 2 also. The pairs Suhit Gosain and Charu Semwal were brilliant back stage but when they were on stage charu forgot her lines, Suhit tried his best but in vain. In great disappointment Suhit blamed Charu, at that point Mini cooled them down and got them sign the peace treaty. Saswata Battacharjee was over excited and he faints on stage. The most popular Jodis of Indian Idol 3 include Meiyang Chang and Aisha Saye and Harshida and Padmanav.

Indian Idol 3: Theater Rounds on Sony Entertainment Television Asia

Indian Idol 3 has finally come to Mumbai. 123 contestants have been short listed by the judges. The next round in Indian Idol 3 is the theater rounds, it has two sessions. 60 people will be chosen out of 123 in the first session and 28 people will be selected from 60 in the second session. After the theater round the next stage is the public voting stage.

The
reality show Indian Idol 3’s third episode started off with showing all the different auditioned cities. The contestants were arriving from different parts of the world to Mumbai. One of contestant Sreeju was seen upset, because his roommate Chirag was missing and he wasn’t able to get into his room. After an hour Chirag returned and asked for forgiveness, they both shook their hands and were friends once again.

The contestants were given a Cruise party. Some of the participants stayed behind to get themselves ready for the
auditions. Next morning, Hussain knocked at the doors of the contestants who were late and asked all of them to run downstairs. All the contestants were excited and they rushed into the bus to go to the theatre hall. At the venue the judges’ javed Akhtar and Annu Maliik were having some discussions about the next round.

The
theatre rounds are held at the National Centre for Performing Art. Out of the 123 contestants, 77 are females and 53 of them are males. Thirty people from each gender will be selected and from that 14 people will be picked from each gender. Alisha was late, the other judge’s clapped at her entry and she apologized for being late.

The
theatre round began, and the first batch of girls leaded by Richa went on stage and sang. Richa Aneja, Rajasi Vaidya and Rani Hazarika got selected. From the next batch of boys leaded by Rehan Khan, he and Sreeju got selected. From the next batch of girls Uma was missing. The latecomers Uma and Maya had to perform alone, Annu Maliik was seen angry on them. They both were asked to go out without telling their judgement. They both were worried and Uma couldn’t stop crying. Suhit and Shantanu got selected from the next batch of 10 boys. After sometime Uma and Maya were called back for their result, they both got selected. From the next batch of boys Emon, Parleen and Meiyang got selected. Emon was very happy and gave his mother a big hug.

Top 60 contestants have been chosen. The judges decided the Male-Male, Female-Female and Male-Female pairs are selected by the judge’s. Now they will have to sing duets, which the judge’s ask them to.

Richa wasn’t happy with her partner Prashant. The
show ended with all the contestants practicing with their partners.

Indian Idol 3: Bharat ki Shaan

On May 19, 2007 the “Indian Idol 3” will show 123 participants who are coming to Mumbai to compete in the theater round at NCPA. Indian Idol has arranged a cruise party off the Gateway of India as a surprise. The contestants were treated with Mumbai style pani puri and they enjoyed dancing in the middle of the sea.

The
Reality talent hunt show Indian Idol is a definitely a platform, for the youngsters to display there talent as millions of people watch over them. The panel of judges consisting of Alisha Chinai, Udit Narayan, Javed Akhtar and Annu Malek will select 28 people who tops in the competition. In the coming weeks the selected 28 contestants will compete for their place which will be shown in the next round of Indian Idol 3.

Who will become the Indian Idol 3 “

Reality Show Indian Idol 3 on Sony Entertainment Television Asia

Sony Entertainment Television Asia will telecast the Kolkata audition and the London auditions on May 18, 2007 at 9:00pm. In the second week of Indian Idol 3, Vanita, Rashmi Vijaya and Sumit Gosai got the Yellow Ticket.

The Reality show
Indian Idol 3 will give the Indian nationals an opportunity to chase their dreams and the power to make one talented contestant to become “Bharat Ki Shaan”. The “Indian Idol” will be awarded a contract worth One Crore with Sony Entertainment Television in addition to a recording contract with Sony BMG.

About the Judges: Udit Narayan, known for his versatile tone is undoubtedly the king among male playback singers. Alisha Chinai the “Indian Madonna” made history in Indipop with the song ‘Made in India’. One of her latest hit song is ‘Kajra Re’. Javed Akhtar is an excellent lyricist, screenplay writer and poet. Many awards have gone his way for his superb work. Annu Maliik is one among the most successful music directors in the film industry. Annu Maliik judged Indian Idol the last two seasons and is now doing the job for Indian Idol 3 also.

Most Popular Reality Show Indian Idol is back on Sony Entertainment Television Asia

Reality show Indian Idol is back with a lot of changes, sure to get a good viewership. For Sony Entertainment Television, Indian Idol 3 is a journey not just a talent hunt. The Indian Idol 3 auditions were even conducted in distant cities like Srinagar and the auditions for NRI’s were done in Dubai and London. Week One of Indian Idol 3


Sony Entertainment Television Asia has started its hit reality show Indian Idol 3 on May 4, 2007. At the end of the first week of Indian Idol 3, Richa Aneja, a cute little girl was the one who stood out outstandingly. She sang “Beedi Jalaile” and has got the yellow ticket for Mumbai. The other contestants worth mentioning are Ram and Shyam. Shyam didn’t get selected even though the verdict given to him was “sur mein gaya”. Ram got rejected after his performance.

The
judges are new, as you already know, comprise of Alisha who compensates for Farah’s absence, Javed Akhtar and Anu Malik. It seems that everyone gets a ticket from the hosts Mini Mathur and Hussain. Anu Malik criticize the contestants so much that even the parents of the contestants spoked out against him. The reality effect of the nationwide popular talent hunt show will be kept intact by not editing the outburst of anger of some people, pledging of rejected candidates and the strong criticism from the judges of Indian Idol 3.
